Title: Well I tried
Post by: Nic-z on May 01, 2008, 07:22:57 AM
Maybe I tried a bit too much, I fixed all my issues with my AWD then it goes back to not centering all the way, I give up I tried everything the MZR forums say to try, so I am sticking to mr02's so now I need to get a 350z body lol. anywho, all three of my AWD don't center I am taking them to the bay to sell em off.

Mk2kompressor, Welcome to the Salt Lake Mini-Z forums.   Any comments you have are greatly appreciated.   For those of you that don't know he is from Rising Sun Racing in the United Kingdom.

Nic was having a terrible time with them,  lots of binding and just inconsistancies.   I don't have much experience with them, the one I had was completely stock.  So I was no help at all.

MK2- Thanks for the offer, though a bit too late in the game, its still a kind gesture.  I actually ended up having about four AWD I sold, but I picked up a 2.4 AWD that seems to be working absolutely amazing, I think I will just use it as my drift car, as I hear they tend to be a bit of a maitnence beast when racing them regularly. With that said I believe you or some others from the UK seem to have a rather sweet drift set up? Mind sharring so I can get mine set up as well? thx.

thanks for the intro brian ;D

no problem nic, they do require heavy maintenence under race conditions but its whooping all those 02's and taking different lines to everyone else is great ;)

so far the best setup for drift i have is,
90mm wheelbase
stock springs up front
atomic white or orange rear(mine has sas but not needed)
stock diffs(or for more control 1-way upfront)
narrow drift tyres all round

thats about it,ive tried most of everything with camber, toe and other settings it always comes back to that one
