Title: New Kyosho Formula 1 Disk Damper
Post by: briankstan on March 31, 2010, 10:10:39 PM
Ok,  here are the pictures of it installed with the PN F1 Motor mount.  So as you can see,  I mounted the carbon fiber disk under the metal cross piece (included in kit).   there were no issued with clearance from under it, it might be a problem if you have stacked fets though.   As you can see in the second pictures it's got a slight slope down, this will depend on how you have you springs set (how much you screw down the screw).  it's probably a good idea to use some lock tight on the screws as well.

The spring mount on the PN motor mount is quite a bit lower than the mount on the stock mount.  The way the instruction read the spring would go in the screw hole on the top of the heatsink mount on the stock motor mount.  so the is where the difference in height comes from.

There were no clearance issues with my body.

So far I've tested for about 10 minutes and it handles very well.   More info to come after our race tomorrow.

I tried to get these from Kyosho and they were all out,  I ordered this one from Japan.   if they work out well and improve the handling we can maybe look at doing a group buy when they are available again.

Click on the first pictures to go go my gallery,  there are high res picters in the galler,  just click them to blow them up.  :)
