We have having our 1 Hour Endurance Trophy Races on January 21st. We will be running 2 classes: Racer and Formula 1.

There is a $5 entry fee per class for this race to cover the cost of trophies, Trophies will awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and also the person that turns in the fasted lap in each class.

the only motors that are available for use in this race are the HFAY Spec Motor or the Kyosho stock motor.

We will be running a very large track with all racers on the track at the same time. Plan on their being some traffic. Shocked you should also plan on 3 sets of batteries for each class.

the Formula one race will be run first and will start at 7:00pm, The racer class race will start at 8:30 pm.

Please RSVP so we can get a count of who will be there

So Far I have the following

Brian
Russ
Luke
Chad
Ryan
Cygen
Rob
Andy
Darel

Don't forget to tighten screws, make sure your wheel nuts are on, and you have good tires and they are taped on,  you don't want to loose time for something that could have been prevented.  flex

I made up a list of things to check. Some are already mentioned but here it is.

Smiley Check your batteries. You will need at least 3 sets, make sure they are charged and good to go!! Check your transmitter batteries also.
Smiley Check your tires. Are they secure? Retape them if necessary.
Smiley Check your suspension for binding. Are the motor wires hitting the body? King pins free? Disc damper good? T-Plate screws tight?
Smiley Check your wheelnuts, but do not overtighten.
Smiley Check your bearings. Are they clean and spinning freely?
Smiley Check your diff. Is it clean and smooth? Not binding?
Smiley Check your screws!! Especially metal-to-metal contacts, and motor mounts.
Smiley Check your motor. Check that the wires are securely attached to the board and soldered to the motor.
Smiley Check your gears. Are they in good condition, meshed correctly, and appropriate for the track layout?
Smiley Check your frequency. Are you on your assigned channel? Tx/Rx match?
Smiley Check your transponder. Did you put it in the car?
Smiley Check your attitude and sportsmanship. Its supposed to be fun!!  big-grin Please also check the post on Pointers on Racer etiquette, and just things to know

I hope everyone is ready for tonight. I received the trophies yesterday and I'm ready to go. I should be at the warehouse around 5:30 to start setting up the track, come buy if you can to help. We will be running a very large track tonight. It's bound to be lots of fun.

Race Report:

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that showed up to race last night.  We had a good turn out with 6 drivers in Formula 1 and 11 in Sedan Racer.    We did pretty good about keeping on scheduled and it was a really fun night of racing.  I forgot my camera so when the pictures that were taken are available I’ll get them posted here.   Track was a great layout with a really nice flow.  It was about 18’ x 30’ or so.  We had to change the layout because the track I wanted to use wouldn’t fit in our space let alone leave enough space to pit and for drivers to stand.

We have a few issues with broken Parts, Bodies, etc.    it’s really to be expected in these long races,   I know Russ broke the front wing on his F1,  I broke my Rear wing on my F1,   I also broke the nose on my 350Z,  well I actually just broke it again,  CA doesn’t make a permanent Fix on the nose of a body .   All in all is was a fairly clean night with lots of good action.

Here is a quick Break down of the results.  I’ll post up the Full Race reports later today.  Lap counts for the hour were just under 280 laps in F1 and Just under 206 for Racer (Funny how 5 additional cars makes a big difference).

Formula 1
1st. Brian - Fast Lap 10.64
2nd. Chad
3rd. Luke

Racer Sedan
1st. Brian - Fast Lap 10.59
2nd. Chad
3rd. Andy
