Bugatti Veyron, the best car in the world.

« Topic Start: October 10, 2008, 07:51:24 PM »

At the last race my steering in my car was twiching, so I took it apart and blew it with compressed air then after I tried a different frequency crystal. After that not only was my steering not fixed but my throttle and reverse died. Angry (my motor wires are tight.) It wasn't that big crash because I gave it a little run at home. So is there any way to fix twichy steering and no throttle other than buying a new board?

yo can shim the steering gears to solve the twitch steering.

no throttle is a different story.  it may be a blown fet.   does it doe it in both forward and reverse?   if you want me to look at it I can, you just need to get it to me.

Ryan,  that sounds like it is going to be a blown Fet.   it does happen on occasion.

if you want I can look at it.   I don't have any fets but they are available at Mini-zracer.   I really should order some to put in the shop.

Ryan,  are you going to try and get your car to me so I can look at it?    I won't have time to do anything at the race, so it would be better to see if I can get it fixed before the race.   We will be running HFAY and you don't want to miss that since you are leading the 16 and under.

if all else fails you can borrow my extra mini-z.

I was kind of planning to give you my mr02 at the race and run my mr01 (or maybe yours now) which has been lowered, given my mercedes body, mr02 springs(yellow/hard), and the rear motor mount is replaced with my 02 stock one.
By the way aren't the drops still there to "use up". so in other words this race's score might go in the drop "box"?
I probably could be able to drop off the car saturday if your available.

Ryan,  We went camping and I was gone all weekend.

I'll bring my Corvette and you can use it if you like.   I'll pick up your car at the race and see if I can revive it.

You do still have all the drops in play, but you want to make sure you drop your worst races to maximize your points.  you wouldn't want to drop 0's in my opinion as you are getting faster and would be sacrificing some points.

Ryan,

I've looked at your car and the good news is the board is fine, no burnt fets.  flex   the bad news however is some thing you probably already know. Frustrated

1. the piece that holds the screws to the motor wires in the chassis is completely shot,  it looks like you tired to fix it and it's not repairable any longer.
2. you glued your T-plate to the chassis,  along with the plastic t-bar mount.   I got the t-bar off,  it's not in the best shape though, but should still work fine.

What I would recommend is you getting a new Main Chassis Kyosho Main Chassis

you will also need the small parts kit,  I have them in stock I just haven't got the picture yet. Small Parts Kit

you will also need this t-bar mount if I can't get the other one off without breaking it.   I'll look to see if I have one that I'm not using.  if I do you can have it,  if not you'll need one.  PN T-Bar Mount

I can put it all together for you,  you'll essentially have a brand new chassis.    I also notice that the bottom of the damper wasn't working right so I fixed that already.    let me know what you want me to do and I'll get it ready for the next race.  it's about $23 for all the new parts before your club discount.
