Title: Going custom
Post by: Nic-z on March 28, 2008, 09:21:14 AM
Well luke totally hooked up my hummer, I love the body. I have two others so I think after last nights race its apparent I need to make some custom body mods to mine to set it apart. I am thinking of two wire hoops around the body so it will roll like a barrel until it lands on its wheels again. as well as a ramp that will fold out the back, as to ward off tailgators and those that don't want to deviate from there 'line' lol. all I can say is flying hummers baby. and to top it off I am devising a front spring loaded bumper which will activate but a 'bump' and then launching the obstruction several feet from my car and out of my way....this is all going under the assumption that after many races I still can't race, and that I will actually be quick enought to hit someone with my bumper.  Mods that will follow.....flame throwers....

Well Last night was great fun, and it goes to show when you race overland with a pimped out paint job (thanks luke) you run it balls-out even if you loose a wheel! I thought about it and before I get my rear ramp and get some more alm parts, so knuckles, servo gears, main rear gear, motor clip, and lower A arm are all comming over from HK. only thing left is one shock mount an A arm and the main chasis lets hope this works lol.

Title: Re: Going custom
Post by: briankstan on April 11, 2008, 10:16:43 AM
that think is going to be a big chunk of aluminum...  are you sure it will move when your done.   :P

Title: Re: Going custom
Post by: Nic-z on April 11, 2008, 10:52:31 AM
that brings me to a very good question, since OL is not really restricted to as much rules as the racers, can I use stacked fets and a hotter motor?  I blieve the alm puts more weight on the ground and allows for a more solid landing, instead of this 'bouncing' affect.

there are rules for all the classes....

so I'd say no.  we try to keep everyone on a reasonable level,  you want to go faster you need to improve your driving.

I'm not picking on you,  the rules go for everyone.

Post by: Nic-z on April 12, 2008, 10:22:55 AM
lol no problem, So does that mean I can't have a 2.4 in my OL? Also shoot me over the link to the posted rules for all the classes so I don't have to ask silly questions, thanks.

Yeah Brian,,, I dont know how to post then in the forum...

  Teach me Oh wise one

there are 2 ways to do it.

1. Right click on the picture and copy the address (URL).  Use the smaller thumbnail picture.
2. on the bottom row above there are some icons.  it's on the bottom row second one in from the left. Click the button (looks like a little Picture) and then paste the address in.   you will end up with this.

[ img ][ /img ]   with your address inbetween them.  Remove the space

second way.

1. see step 1 above.
2. Type [ img ] Right before the address and [ /img ] right after it.  Remove the spaces
