This is the easiest way to cleaning ball bearings, Simply fill the bottle half way with Motor Cleaner or Brake Cleaner. Put the bearings in the wire mesh basket, and soak for a few minutes. You can shake it as well to aggitate the grit from the bearings. Wipe them Off and you are good to go.
It's also great to clean out the packing grease so your bearings will spin better...
